This weekend we got together with Sean's family for the first annual Lawler Irish Fest. I thought it was a little gutsy announcing this as an annual event before seeing how the first go around went, but I must say it was a smashing hit! From over 100 entries in the parade (we were float #17 throwing out beads and a few cold beverages) to the Irish band hired out of Chicago, the town of 400 looked more like a town of thousands! We had such a good time visiting with friends and loved ones that we are already penciling the second annual Lawler Irish Fest into our schedules (and hoping to amp up next years float with more "B's"....beads, balloons and beer).
