While I use this blog as a medium for expression and creativity, it also serves as a way to communicate with family all over the country.
With the busy schedule of a grad student, family phone calls are far and few. (Dad, I think we are going on a couple weeks!)
So when I wrote the post a few days ago about Boyfriend's doctor appointment, that was the first time many learned of his down-in-the-dumps heart. I received many messages from dear ones reaching out letting me know they were thinking of us both, but today I got a surprise that brought me to tears.
I summoned for cookies and that is what was delivered to me today at work.
Three very thoughtful friends and avid blog readers took me literally and gave us made-from-scratch chocolate chip cookies. Next time I'll ask for these shoes I'm currently drooling over.

I can't tell you how lucky I am to have people in my life who will go the extra mile to show me and my loved ones support. That post was in hopes to conjure some good prayers to the man upstairs, but we received a delicious thought, wrapped in love and topped with chocolate.
The best kind.
