This post is long past due, but I didn't want to tell you about this experience until I had the pictures to prove it. And now I do!
I told you in this post about QUASH.
Well, it happened and it was awesome.
Last weekend, my roommate Jeni and our friend Bridget QUASHed around campus, raising money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association.
Our team was named The Three Quashketeers. Hence the outfits.
It just so happens that the day for QUASHing was the absolute coldest of the week. While everyone else was bundled up in winter coats, we just wore long underwear and called it good. Our outfits didn't call for cold weather.
I swore I wasn't going to get competitive. But, alas, you can't take the fight out of me and the minute the Q-Crew yelled "GO" I began ordering my team around. Oopie, sorry pals.
While we did not win as QUASH Masters, we did win best-dressed! The award got us so excited that we even wore our fedoras, feathers and capes to the after party- where there were regular, non-QUASHing diners who stared at us.
Ha, little did they know they were looking at the most enthusiastically clad team at UNI QUASH 2011.
