Boyfriend and I were dating last Christmas, but we were unable to spend the holiday together. (I actually flew to Florida for a week and half, only 3 days after we started officially dating. Much too long to be away after a man has just stolen your heart.) So I have never had a Christmas with him, but I knew one without him sucked.
This year we are splitting the holiday- Christmas Eve with his family and Christmas day with mine!
We had a fabulous day today. After a filling dinner and undoing my belt loop a few notches, we opened presents and then proceeded to play for hours with all of the kids toys. I'm talking Nerf guns, remote control cars and a play guitar. Serious fun here people.
Now we will wake up early in the morning and drive to Missouri to see my family. This will be my first time bringing a boy to meet my extended family.
I sure hope Boyfriend is ready.
Maybe say a prayer or two for me, okay?

Quick Christmas Confession: I've never seen "A Christmas Story."
Yes, I'm serious.
People can never believe it, but what I say is true.
It is currently on TV and I announced to Boyfriend's family that I have never had the honor of viewing this Christmas classic.
They are in shock.
(There was just a triple dog dare for a little boy to stick his tongue to the pole. I'm closing my eyes.)
But don't worry, Boyfriend doesn't know because he is fast asleep in Christmas coma.
