Afternoon Trip

Took an afternoon trip with boyfriend today. It's always nice to escape for awhile, even a few hours.

We slept in and made the excuse that it was because we were down with finals.

(but really we sleep in most mornings.)

After showering, I made a pizza for lunch. This special pizza took over 40 minutes to cook. Why you may ask? Because I struggle to operate the Pizazz correctly and forgot to actually turn on the heat. I'm so incompetent when it comes to anything in the kitchen.

Anywho, we hopped in the car just after 1:00 and headed South. We made a pit stop at Plato's Closet where I sold a stack of my old clothes and made $47.09 (Oh yeah!!)

Then we scooted on down to Williamsburg to hit up the Tanger Outlet to check out the Nike store. Boyfriend wanted some athletic apparel for coaching and student teaching, and I wanted a deal on his Christmas presents so this was the ideal place to bargain shop.

After a fabulous dinner at Chili's in Coralville, we made a quick stop at the mall and then headed home.

The drive back consisted of song singing (Christmas carols and children's songs), playing the question game and saying as many phrases by Michelle Tanner as possible.

As we approached Waterloo boyfriend perked up and said, "I'm feeling lucky. Let's stop at the casino."

Now I am not a gambling woman and proceeded to give him my best lecture on gambling.

Can you really afford to lose $60? The minute you are up, you pocket what you came to the table with and you start playing with the casino's money. You better give me your wallet when you get in there so you don't start taking out extra bills. And pinky swear you won't get greedy!

Boyfriend gambles maybe once every 6 months, so this lecture really wasn't needed. He heard me out, but we stopped anyway. I sat at the slots and lost about $9. Bah humbug.

Boyfriend continued to pocket $200. How does he do this!? My Christmas present better be good!

All in all, it was a fabulous day with fabulous company.
