In attempts to avoid the anti-climatic Halloween we had last year (seriously, not a fun holiday when it’s during the week, you have no kids and live in an apartment that won’t get any trick or treaters), we saved our pumpkin carving for Halloween night.
I was extremely excited to create a little, happy pun-kin face and Sean was, well, a little less enthused. He doesn’t feel like “creative” is on his list of talents, but with a few words of encouragement and pats of praise, he created something that is totally him....
He carved the initials of the two schools where he coaches into his pumpkin. And while he wasn’t quite proud at first (as seen in the pouty face photo below), his pumpkin looked pretty impressive once it was all lit up.
