I remember when I graduated with my Bachelors, I instantly felt grown up. As if receiving a degree was my coming of age. And as I went back to my apartment to get ready for the graduation festivities, I I recall swinging open my closet doors to find the wardrobe of a college student. And I disappointed. I was no longer a college student. I was grown up and sophisticated. So I did what every young lady does when entering the adult world.
I bought a pencil skirt.
In fact, I bought this pencil skirt.
And while I still live off of bar food and frozen pizza, complain about school, live in an apartment, and have no real grown-up responsibilities, by-gum by-golly I own pencil skirts and that must mean I’ve got something figured out.
