After 4 1/5 years in college, today was the first day that I ever checked out a book from the college library. Actually it is the first time I even opened a book from the library. Are you totally shocked?

I looked like a poor lost soul as I approached the reference desk with my wide, confused eyes that were searching for the card catalogue like in my elementary school library. The student worker thought I was freshman (must have been my short stature and Little House on the Prairie hair-do) and ensured me by the time I was done with my four years, I'd know how to navigate the library by heart. 

If only he knew...
