Happy Monday!!

I'm really in need of a pick-me-up on this Monday. We had an amazing weekend celebrating UNI Homecoming, seeing friends and enjoying snack foods. But with the celebration came the lack of sleep and a bit of junk food coma. My brain wants to take a break but the week won't wait!

 I had a lot of happiness around me due to the Homecoming festivities so I've been contemplating what it actually is that I wanted to list today....but then I found it.

What really, really makes me happy is that first hug from someone you haven't seen in a long time. That moment when you embrace and can simply feel that they've missed you as much as you have missed them. I had many of these this weekend. Friends from class, friends from student organizations, friends from the old cheerleading days and friends from high school.

I'm reminded how very lucky I am to be surrounded by amazing individuals...who give really good hugs!
