Awkward:
-After spending an hour with a student named Blaine and learning his love for the piano, his interests in traveling and his rough transition to college. Then, after he left, I learned his name is in fact, not Blaine. People, please correct me when I'm rudely addressing you by the wrong name.
-The souped up Olds Mobile I parked next too. Complete with shiny rims and a spoiler.
-High school girls who are arguing over a boy on Facebook. Why are you fighting in virtual public and how did you become my "Friend" on here?
-The lady who went into the bathroom stall and came right back out saying, "You had tacos for lunch huh?" to the girl who had just used that stall....and me laughing nervously from my own respective stall.
Awesome:
-One week from TODAY I will see family and friends for a beautiful wedding celebration. I couldn't be more jazzed up about it.
-Morning bubble baths with iced coffee and Jason Mraz. Sooooooothing.
-Getting many more points on my first analytical graduate paper that I had anticipated. And now it is hanging on the refrigerator.
-Having a Boyfriend who is so willing to help me. He receives emails and texts daily asking
"Can you print of 20 copies of this?"
"Will you bring this document home with you, stapled and formatted correctly?"
"Will you tell the secretary that practice is canceled?"
"Hey, we need quarters for laundry. Can you do something about that?"
And after coming to the rescue and receiving his big hug and a million "Thank you's!" he simply replies, "I'll take care of you, momma." Not only a sweet reply, but he adds that little pet name from Saved by the Bell.
Gosh I love that man.
