What's that rule about white after Labor Day? Something about the "fashion police" ruling it unacceptable to wear white post the beloved three day weekend?
Well I say, "bologna."
I totally planned to wear these cream linen pants well beyond Labor Day. And what better way to stick it to the man to have 'em make their debut the Tuesday after no-more-white-Monday.
I don't follow unwritten rules well, obviously. I ask people their age and I'll call you after 10 p.m. I'll even double dip and stand right beside you in an otherwise empty elevator. But I imagine, if I were a boy, I'd follow the rule to not use the urinal directly beside someone else. Some rules clearly need following.
