Dear Dad,
It's your day. A moment during the long year dedicated to you.
But today isn't the only day I feel grateful to have you in my life. Everyday I am aware of all the ways you have shaped who I am.
So thank you for the hugs, the corny jokes, the financial advice, the computer lessons, my car, my second car and my third car. Thank you for paying me cell phone bill, for helping fund my education, paying my car insurance and giving me "I Love You" money when you know I've been living off of spaghetti o's. Thank you for your constant support and encouragement.
Thank you for taking my late night crying phone calls that only lead to late night drives to come put my life back together. And thanks for doing it without a lecture or an "I told you so."
Thanks for letting me make my own mistakes by giving me the skills to work through them.
Thanks for reminding me of my good qualities when they sometimes feel like the my biggest burdens.
And thank you for loving the crap outta me, Courtney, TR and the munchkins.
Here's to you.
Cheers!
