Sushi for One

I took a personal day today.
I needed to go to the mall to get a gift for a special lady's bridal shower this weekend, but instead of just going there and back, I took the whole afternoon and did whatever I wanted.
No time restraints. No one with me. No real purpose.
It was kinda nice! I caught lunch at Panera by myself and wound up sitting by two elderly women discussing their last colonoscopy. There were even diagrams doodled on their napkins. (This part wasn't so nice.)
Then I went in for some shopping. Nothing too crazy, just seeing if I could find any good Memorial Day sales. Old Navy was the jackpot. I got three tops (all on my "I NEED THIS NOW" list), and a jacket for only $20 total. Cha-ching. Hit one up this weekend, k? K.
I spent hours in Hobby Lobby. Just getting ideas, coming up with more crafting projects and taking it all in. I didn't buy anything, which is probably why the staff looked at me annoyed after spending so much time in there. Oopsie Daisies. I probably should have sprung for some new fabric sheers or something.
I hit up a few more stores then I went to have sushi because it is my faaaaaavorite. Boyfriend doesn't like it, so I try to sneak some in when I can.
So I went to my favorite sushi bar, SoHo, and ate. Alone. With my book.
Some people looked at me with pity, but I could tell my waitress was digging my swag. Not everyone can muster up the courage to eat alone. But today, I mastered it.
